Why?I am going to Thailand to teach English for a year, but first I have to complete what is called my TEFL (teaching English as a Foreign Language) certification. I will be doing this in Phuket, Thailand, which is a highly popular tourist town along the south-western coast of Thailand. That course begins on Monday, september 10th, so after my arrival in the evening on the 6th I will have 4 full days to acquaint myself with the town... but mostly my bed and the beach. After the program ends in October, I will be busying myself somewhere until I begin teaching in November. I haven't quite got those details figured out.
Another thing that I am doing, and will be logging on here is, I plan to lose 35 pounds in the first 4.5-5 months. I have struggled with these things since I was young, and I plan to regulate it while I am there away from the speed, fried, overly processed grossness that had become American food.
